Make a direct impact in students’ lives by stepping into a full-time paraprofessional role in a supportive school environment. This contract opportunity involves working with students who have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) within a collaborative classroom setting. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the school year’s end in June, providing consistency and daily engagement for students who benefit most from dedicated support.
Key qualifications sought for this position:
- Previous experience in education, childcare, or a related setting is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with supporting students who have IEPs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a classroom environment.
- Reliability and flexibility; able to work the full assignment, Monday through Friday.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
Core responsibilities include:
- Assisting students with IEPs in classroom activities and learning routines.
- Supporting teachers by reinforcing lesson content and classroom expectations.
- Providing positive encouragement, redirection, and one-on-one or small group guidance as needed.
- Collaborating with classroom teachers and special education staff to follow individualized plans.
- Helping maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging educational setting for all students.
The schedule runs approximately 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, Monday to Friday. If the match is right, your assignment will carry through to the last day of school in June, offering valuable experience and the chance to build meaningful connections within the educational field.
