Key qualifications and experience:

• Prior experience working with children in an educational, childcare, or closely related environment is highly preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive relationships with students and staff
• Ability to provide individualized assistance, monitor student progress, and adapt to diverse learning needs
• Collaborative spirit and willingness to work as part of a supportive educational team
• Reliability and commitment to consistent attendance throughout the school year

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting students with IEPs directly in classroom settings
• Assisting teachers with behavior management, instruction, and various classroom activities
• Helping create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all learners
• Monitoring and encouraging student participation and engagement
• Providing one-on-one or small group support as directed
• Documenting student progress and communicating observations to the educational team
• Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times

This position starts immediately, following the school day schedule from approximately 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The assignment continues through the end of the school year in June, provided the placement is successful and fulfilling for both you and the team.
