Located in Frisco, TX, this new project aims to inspire wonder in visitors of all ages, with a park designed to ignite the art of play and a 300‑room family hotel to provide continued excitement and relaxation. The role involves working in various climate conditions, standing for long periods, and operating in noisy environments. Working hours often cover weekends, holidays, and evenings. Job Summary Supports management in directing and coordinating activities of Ride & Show Maintenance functions and maintenance efforts. Provides work direction and leads daily tasks of team members to support operations, preventative maintenance, and annuals. Leads the team by overseeing shifts, opening and closing procedures, assists with daily/weekly/monthly/annual maintenance planning, and completes administrative duties in support of Ride & Show Management and compliance requirements. Upholds Universal policies and procedures, escalates concerns to management as necessary, and ensures team member safety. Job Responsibilities Plans and delegates work tasks, supports and implements Technical Services planning and scheduling for the assigned shift, and communicates performance expectations to ensure proper completion of tasks. Actively reinforces company safety guidelines, reports non‑compliance, monitors productivity, and manages tool, equipment, and inventory compliance. Ensures proper completion of work orders and documentation within Maximo, and captures written behaviors to support management documentation and state requirements. Assists with training new and current team members, coordinates daily training needs, and follows up to ensure documentation and adherence to Universal standards. Performs Technician job duties to ensure labor coverage during seasonal closures, shares job knowledge, and adapts to additional disciplines as needed. Communicates and coordinates across Technical Services and Operations to ensure smooth operation and guest safety, and assists with seasonal weather sustainment initiatives. Participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following UDX policy and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Additional Information Must be willing to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends to support seasonal maintenance initiatives. Training is required and will be provided prior to performing inspections. Qualifications Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Previous mechanic, maintenance, or attractions, show or water area technical experience is preferred. Education Associate’s or Technical degree in a related field is preferred. Experience 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting and repair of electromechanical systems, experience with hydraulic and mechanical systems in the theme park industry is preferred; 6+ months of experience providing work direction is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
