Bring your expertise as a Sign Language Interpreter to students across K-12 classrooms and make a meaningful impact during the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity requires four dedicated professionals to serve locations in Southern Oregon. You'll work closely with a diverse student population and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support communication needs and foster inclusive educational experiences.

This opportunity is for the entire 2026-2027 academic year, from August 24, 2026, through June 11, 2027. You'll be based onsite at specified locations, engaging daily with students and supporting their academic and social growth.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Oregon Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Certification/Licensure (required)
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Previous experience interpreting in educational settings preferred
• Strong collaboration skills with ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Passion for supporting student learning and participation across a variety of grade levels (K-12)
• Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom instruction, activities, and events for deaf and hard-of-hearing students
• Foster clear communication between students, teachers, and peers
• Adapt interpreting methods and approaches to meet individual student needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and assist in documenting student progress
• Collaborate with educators to facilitate an inclusive learning environment
• Maintain accurate records and follow all policies and ethical guidelines
