Executive Director/President- Remote (CA Pref)The Hollywood Professional Association (HPA) is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the needs, interests, and policies of professionals throughout the media and entertainment industry. We are seeking a strategic, collaborative, and industry-connected Executive Director to serve as our senior executive leader. This role works closely with the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, staff, volunteers, members, and industry partners to advance HPA's mission, strengthen member value, and ensure operational excellence.The HPA is a non-profit member association dedicated to recognizing, educating, and connecting businesses with a diverse community who provide creative and technical expertise, support, tools and infrastructure for professional content creation, distribution and archive in the media and entertainment industry.Best-in-Class Benefits and Culture:We value our employees' time and efforts. We strive to provide a collaborative, creative environment where everyone feels encouraged to contribute to our processes, decisions, planning, and culture.To thrive/succeed as the Executive Director, you should have:Significant experience in and a deep passion for the media and entertainment industry strongly preferredProven executive leadership experience within a nonprofit, association, or member-based organizationStrong strategic planning, governance, and organizational management skillsExperience working with boards of directors and executive committeesDemonstrated financial management and budgeting expertiseExcellent relationship-building and stakeholder engagement abilitiesExperience managing staff, consultants, and organizational operationsStrong communication, public speaking, and brand ambassador skillsYour responsibilities as the Executive Director will include:Develop and execute HPA's multi-year strategic roadmapIdentify and pursue industry partnerships, collaborations, and revenue opportunitiesServe as HPA's representative at industry, government, and community eventsSupport the Board of Directors through planning, governance, and policy developmentLead annual budgeting, financial oversight, and vendor managementEnsure sound financial controls and organizational accountabilityDirect daily organizational operations and staff managementOversee hiring, onboarding, employee development, and performance managementEstablish systems for program delivery, reporting, and organizational effectivenessProvide executive oversight of advisory councils and committeesGuide execution of the annual Tech Retreat and other HPA programs and eventsOversee venue planning and contract management for future eventsLead the future of the media and entertainment industry through visionary nonprofit leadership.If you are a visionary leader who excels at strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, operational excellence, and mission-driven leadership, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity to guide the future of the Hollywood Professional Association.We are an equal opportunity employer that welcomes and encourages diversity in the workplace.
