Material Handler
Location: Staten Island, NY
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday
Job Summary
A leading HVAC and supply distribution company is seeking a dependable and hardworking Material Handler to join its warehouse team in Staten Island, NY. This position plays a critical role in ensuring products are received, stored, picked, packed, and shipped accurately to support customer and branch operations.
The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Load and unload incoming shipments safely and efficiently
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and inventory
Pick, pack, and prepare customer and branch orders for shipment
Move materials throughout the warehouse using pallet jacks and other equipment
Organize inventory and maintain accurate stock locations
Assist with cycle counts and inventory control activities
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
Follow company safety procedures and warehouse best practices
Work closely with warehouse staff, drivers, and customer service personnel
Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned
Qualifications
Previous warehouse, material handling, or shipping and receiving experience preferred
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic computer skills are a plus
Forklift experience is a plus but not required
Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
