Vitesse Systems is looking for a Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist  to join the team in Longmont, Colorado! As a Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will lead complex sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and cost-reduction strategies to support the company’s operational and financial goals.

The Role

The primary responsibilities of the Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist is to lead sourcing initiatives and negotiations to support the company. 

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts strategic sourcing activities supporting the organization's objectives for value-driven vendor partnerships focused on risk management, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. 
• Participates in supplier negotiations and contract preparation
• Coordinates with internal stakeholders to define material, quality, and service requirements and standards.
• Determine and mitigate risks with Source Selection team as part of source selection decisions.
• Supports vendor partnerships and monitors performance using established KPI's, goals, and scorecards. 
• Integrates new sources, methods, and vendors to ensure a reliable supply of materials. 
• Reviews market intelligence and analysis to anticipate price fluctuations. 
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in aerospace or defense subcontracting
• Experience in negotiating vendor contracts >$1M
• Experience with major satellite subsystem subcontracting a plus
• Experience using Excel
• Experience working in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
