Special Education Teacher

TactStaff EDU is hiring compassionate and collaborative Special Education Resource Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year in the New Haven and Bridgeport areas of Connecticut. These positions are located within supportive, student-centered school districts committed to inclusive education, academic growth, and strong team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to support student success
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Maintain compliant IEP documentation and progress monitoring
• Support students academically, socially, and emotionally within inclusive learning environments
• Foster positive classroom culture and student engagement

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut Special Education certification required
• Must hold or be eligible for Connecticut #165 Special Education credential (Initial, Provisional, or Professional)
• Prior school-based or resource room experience preferred
• Strong collaboration, organization, and classroom management skills
• Passion for supporting diverse learners and inclusive educational practices
