Project Executive

TRC’s client is a leading general contractor with a strong footprint in commercial construction and a reputation for delivering complex projects through collaborative execution and disciplined project controls. This is a senior leadership role with significant visibility across active project portfolios and client accounts.

Summary

The Project Executive will provide strategic and operational oversight across multiple commercial construction projects, guiding project teams from preconstruction through closeout. This role is accountable for financial performance, contract compliance, risk mitigation, and client relationship management. The position serves as a key leadership layer between field/project teams and executive management, ensuring consistency in execution, profitability, and client satisfaction across the portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level oversight of multiple active construction projects

• Establish and enforce project execution standards, methodologies, and best practices

• Oversee contract administration, including scope definition and document compliance

• Lead management of claims, disputes, and issue resolution with subcontractors, suppliers, and owners

• Partner closely with Project Managers to address complex operational and technical challenges

• Drive project financial performance including cost control, forecasting, and margin protection

• Review, negotiate, and approve change orders and ensure accurate billing practices

• Monitor project KPIs including safety, quality, schedule adherence, and budget performance

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to Project Managers and site teams

• Ensure effective project closeout, including documentation, turnover, and final account resolution

• Maintain and strengthen client relationships to support repeat business and long-term partnerships

• Support organizational initiatives including workforce development and compliance programs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• 10+ years of commercial construction experience

• Demonstrated leadership over multiple concurrent projects or project teams

• Strong background in project financial management, cost controls, and forecasting

• Experience managing contracts, change orders, and claims resolution

• Proven ability to lead client relationships and drive repeat business

• Experience in commercial, industrial, or related construction sectors preferred

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive accountability across projects
