Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Seattle, WA Full-Time | Elementary School Setting | 2026-2027 School Year Help Students Find Their Voice and Reach Their Potential We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school-based team in the Seattle area for the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you will provide evaluations, assessments, and speech-language therapy services to elementary students, helping them overcome communication challenges and achieve success in the classroom and beyond. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams while making a meaningful impact on student growth and educational outcomes. Position Details Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Location: Seattle, WA Setting: Elementary School Schedule: Full-Time Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week Contract Length: 36 Weeks Start Date: September 1, 2026 Openings: 1 Behavioral Support Level: Medium Key Responsibilities Assessment & Evaluation Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and screenings. Assess communication skills including: Articulation Expressive language Receptive language Fluency Voice Pragmatic/social communication skills Determine eligibility for speech-language services and develop recommendations for intervention. Therapy & Intervention Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and student needs. Provide direct speech-language therapy services in accordance with IEP goals and district guidelines. Implement evidence-based interventions designed to support academic achievement and communication development. Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Collaboration & Team Support Collaborate with teachers, administrators, school psychologists, occupational therapists, special education staff, and families. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. Provide consultation regarding communication strategies and classroom accommodations. Support students' use of communication and assistive technology devices when appropriate. Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate and timely documentation including: Evaluation reports Progress reports IEP documentation Therapy notes Treatment plans Required compliance records Ensure compliance with federal, state, district, and professional practice standards. Professional Development Attend staff meetings, trainings, workshops, and professional development opportunities. Stay current on best practices and emerging trends in speech-language pathology. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License in the state of Washington or ability to obtain prior to start. Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders in school-age children. Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Computer proficiency and electronic documentation skills. Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements. Must be at least 18 years of age.
