Traffic Line Painter

We are seeking a dependable Striping Crew Laborer to assist with pavement marking and striping projects on roadways, parking lots, and other paved surfaces. This role involves supporting the crew with site preparation, layout, painting, cleanup, and traffic control. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work outdoors in varying conditions. Key Responsibilities Assist with layout and preparation of work areas for striping, including measuring and chalk lining Load, unload, and organize paint, thermoplastic materials, stencils, and equipment Operate hand tools and support striping machinery under supervision Mask and protect surfaces that do not require markings Apply paint or thermoplastic material using sprayers, hand liners, or other tools as directed Set up traffic control devices and signage to ensure safe work zones Perform cleanup of tools, equipment, and job site at the end of each shift Follow instructions from the Foreman and communicate effectively with team members Wear proper PPE and comply with all safety requirements Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications/Requirements Previous experience in pavement marking or construction is a plus, but not required Must be at least 18 years of age Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods Comfortable working outdoors in heat and inclement weather Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic Valid driver’s license preferred; CDL is a plus Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area Physical Requirements Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods: Constantly Moving about to accomplish tasks at a worksite or moving from one worksite to another: Constantly Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, such as stooping, kneeling, or crouching: Constantly Adjusting, moving and lifting objects in all directions: Constantly Talking and hearing to communicate with others: Constantly Seeing to perform job duties at close range, such as monitors or screens: Rarely Seeing to perform job duties at a distance, such as driving or operating equipment: Occasionally Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers: Constantly Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like: Occasionally Operating machinery and/or power tools: Constantly Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment: Constantly The ability to travel regionally or nationally: Never Physical Demands Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing: Constantly Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds: Constantly Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds: Constantly Heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more: Occasionally Working Conditions Low temperatures: Occasionally High temperatures: Occasionally Outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind: Occasionally Noisy environments: Occasionally Hazardous conditions: Rarely Shift work, to include overnight work: Occasionally Frequent overtime, including weekends: Occasionally Office environment: Rarely Pave America and it's companies offers a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits that support your total well-being.
