Assistant Nurse Manager – Medical Surgical Unit Providence Seaside Hospital (Oregon) Full‑time day shift position. Responsibilities Support the unit director/manager in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating unit services. Provide managerial presence on all shifts. Manage clinical and non‑clinical caregivers; provide performance input to the unit director/manager. Ensure compliance with professional nursing standards, regulatory requirements, policies, processes, and clinical priorities. Coach, mentor, and collaborate with staff to deliver quality patient care. Utilize the nursing process to manage clinical and operational activities within assigned shift. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BS or BSN). Registered nurses employed in this role before November 1, 2024 are encouraged to pursue a BSN but it is not a condition of employment. Valid Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire. National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire. Recent clinical experience in an acute‑care hospital. Charge nurse or relief charge nurse experience. Leadership experience. Shared governance experience. Benefits Up to $8,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires. Free parking.
