Join us in making a real difference in the health of our community.Job SummaryEssen is looking for a Pain Management Specialist who evaluates pain and treats a wide range of pain problems. The pain management Doctor treats chronic and sudden pain ailments such as long-lasting, chronic, pain such as low back pain and neck pain. Assess and treat patients in accordance with best practice standards and all applicable regulatory standards and provide evidence-informed medical and/or interventional pain management to patients based on appropriate clinical indication and meet high standards of care.ResponsibilitiesAssess and treat patients in accordance with best practice standards and all applicable regulatory standards.Provide evidence-informed medical and/or interventional pain management to patients based on appropriate clinical indication and meet high standards of care.Utilize fluoroscopy or ultrasound to perform most interventions.Evaluate patients' history and determine what procedures are beneficial using comprehensive pain modalities including physical therapy and medicationsIdentify the source of a patient's pain, and conduct specialized tests, prescribe medication, and may perform surgery or a procedure for a patientParticipate in team meetings, educational events and clinic social eventsQualificationsMDIn-depth knowledge of pain disordersAbility to evaluate patients with difficult pain disordersAppropriate prescribing of medications for pain problemsAn ability to use different diagnostic tests to pinpoint the cause of painSkill with procedures (nerve blocks, fluoroscopic-guided spinal injections, RFA, Ultrasound guided injections,Treatment that is in line with a patient's wishes and belief systemSalary: $220,000-$280,000Equal Opportunity EmployerEssen Health care is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we seek candidates who desire to work in and serve an ethnically diverse population.
