As an Electrical Engineer II, you will play a key role in the design, development, and testing of electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense applications. You will be responsible for designing and integrating electrical/electronic systems, validating electrical/electronic systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.**Responsibilities:*** Design and develop electrical/electronic systems.* In some applications, develop circuit card assemblies.* Implement electrical wiring design practices.* Conduct testing and validation of electronic systems and components.* Perform troubleshooting and debugging of electronic circuits.* Develop and document technical designs, test plans, and results.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements are met.* Participate in design reviews and provide technical insights.* Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.**Qualifications You Must Have:*** Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.* 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related role.* Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.* Proficiency in electrical/electronic circuit design and testing techniques.* Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.* Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.* Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.**Qualifications We Prefer:*** Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.* Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for electrical applications.* Understanding of aerospace and defense industry standards.* Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.* Exposure to FAA electrical system regulations, including Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) requirements.* Exposure to electrical/electronic Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and System Safety Assessment (SSA) concepts.* Understanding of an Electrical Load Analysis (ELA).* Experience with circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis.* Knowledge of electrical component selection and manufacturing.* Understanding Electromagnetic Effects (EME) to include Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).* Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture.* Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools.**Essential Functions:*** Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.* Ability to travel as required.* Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.* Precision in designing, testing and troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems and components.* Ability to analyze complex electrical/electronic systems and evaluate performance data to identify problems and improve designs.* Applying systematic and logical problem-solving techniques to diagnose and resolve electrical/electronic issues.* Clearly convey technical information, design specifications, and project updates to team members, stakeholders, and management.* Ability to understand technical documents, electrical/electronic schematics, and electronic instrument measurements.* Ability to handle small components, tools, and equipment with precision.This posting will be open for application for a minimum of 5 days and may be extended based on business needs.SNC offers a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 6%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.**IMPORTANT NOTICE:**This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
