Location: Adrian, MI
Employment Type: Per Diem
Pay Rate: $50 - $55 per hour
We are seeking a skilled and responsive Registered Nurse for per diem opportunities in the Emergency Department. The successful candidate will assess patients with urgent and emergency medical needs, prioritize care based on patient acuity, and work collaboratively with the emergency healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Conduct rapid patient assessments and identify urgent medical needs.
- Triage patients and prioritize treatment according to their conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to changes in their conditions.
- Assist with emergency interventions and stabilization procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document care provided.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow emergency-care protocols, infection-control procedures, and patient-safety standards.
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license appropriate for the work location.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent ED/ER experience
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current PALS certification.
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- ENPC certification preferred.
- Recent specialty-specific acute-care experience is required; LTACH and IRF experience alone will not qualify .
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency-care environment.
