Payroll Specialist

Payroll Specialist Location: Greenville, SC Schedule: Mon‑Fri; 8am‑5pm Pay Range: $17/hr – $19/hr Job Description: The Payroll Specialist assists in the processing of payroll for our biweekly and monthly pay groups in Workday. The role communicates with other members of the organization regarding compensation‑related information for budgeting and planning purposes. Responsibilities also include payroll tax compliance, benefits reconciliation, Workday configuration troubleshooting, and W‑2/payroll year‑end close process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in preparation of payroll in Workday Payroll for employees paid on biweekly and monthly frequencies. Enter and maintain OnDemand payroll records upon management approval. Serve as main point of contact for payroll and troubleshoot payroll‑related issues impacting employees (non‑payments, pay discrepancies, general questions, etc.). Perform data entry tasks related to payroll and benefits. Follow up on withholding orders and other non‑tax correspondence received from government authorities. Provide ad‑hoc payroll reporting and other documentation to Finance, HR, and other authorized parties. Audit payroll data to ensure accuracy. Communicate and work with third‑party payroll partners as needed. Perform additional responsibilities assigned by management. Education, Training and Experience Associate degree in business administration or other related business major required. Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience preferred. Experience in providing quality customer service required. Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office. Experience with Workday Payroll software preferred.
