Job Summary Position: Food Services Specialist II Department: CDC-Child Development Center Posting Date: June 23, 2026 Application Closing Date: June 29, 2026 Classification Code: KB10 / Slot 0000 Salary Range: $29,000 - $36,300 Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00–3:00 Campus: Thomas E. Barton Campus Responsibilities Plan menus to meet NAEYC, CACFP, DSS, and ABC guidelines. Prepare and serve snacks and meals on a daily basis. Develop the food service procurement plan and maintain inventory of food supplies and equipment in accordance with an established plan. Ensure the food program operates within the budget. Complete and have available for review the CACFP reports and records for the food program. Assist in parent communication regarding the nutrition program. Maintain and enforce sanitation and safety conditions in the kitchen and storage areas. Minimum Qualifications A high school diploma and experience in quantity and quality cooking or in a bakery. Preferred Qualifications Six months experience in food preparation in a Child Development Center. Knowledge of CACFP guidelines. Completion of a post‑secondary food service program.
