They leverage a detailed understanding of the full end-to-end risk management and controls process to advise on Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), the associated risk and control environment, and identify opportunities to further strengthen the financial reporting environment to meet industry, auditor, and regulator expectations./ppWe are seeking a self-starter, highly motivated professional to join the Sarbanes-Oxley team as a Principal Associate who excels in a collaborative environment and will take ownership of their responsibilities./ppResponsibilities include:/pulliLead one or more lines of business through our robust approach to risk management including scoping, risk assessment, control design, testing, deficiency analysis, reporting and quarterly certifications./liliLiaise between business process performers, risk offices, internal auditors and accountable executives and communicate identified risks or issues and recommended remediation actions to these stakeholders./liliSupport technology and business transformation, including assessing potential control changes that may be required to enhance our financial reporting and risk management practices/liliPerform analysis, capture and report control performance metrics and assist in preparing quarterly stakeholder reporting/liliInterpret and communicate program and control information to senior leadership, including identified risks or issues and recommended remediation/liliDevelop a high level of knowledge around reporting compliance, risk management, and evolving industry changes and understand the broader context of implication of reporting risks affecting the company/li/ulpBasic Qualifications:/pulliBachelors Degree or military experience/liliAt least 3 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, Internal Controls, Audit, or a combination/li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliAt least 3 years of experience in Auditing and Control Evaluations/liliAt least 3 years of experience in SOX controls/liliCertified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or equivalent certification/li/ulpThe minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked./ppMcLean, VA: $131,300 - $149,800 for Principal Analyst, Capital Mkts Risk/ppRichmond, VA: $119,400 - $136,200 for Principal Analyst, Capital Mkts Risk/ppCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter./ppThis role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
