RN - NICU

NICU Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day 3x12-hour shifts (06:00 - 18:30) with a weekend block schedule (Friday-Sunday). Weekend shifts may exceed every other week to meet unit needs.

We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to join our Level III NICU team, providing exceptional care for neonates. The unit experiences around 190 births per month and focuses on comprehensive neonatal care, including managing complex conditions and supporting families.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill neonates.
• Administer medications and manage fluid therapy.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions and respond to changes in status.
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions according to best practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create care plans for patients.
• Educate families on infant care and the NICU process.
• Attend high-risk deliveries and support neonatal resuscitation efforts.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in a NICU setting.
• Valid State RN License (Compact license accepted).
• Current certifications in BCLS, NRP, and preferably PALS.
• Experience with Epic charting system.
• Ability to manage high-acuity patients and perform essential procedures such as central line management and ventilator support.
