Overview Crescent Academy is seeking a flexible, supportive, friendly Part Time Special Education Occupational Therapist. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual who is committed to improving the quality of life for our clients. This role provides an opportunity to work in a supportive environment while having the flexibility of a part-time schedule. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and assess students’ needs, abilities, and goals. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to promote independence in daily activities. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care. Educate clients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and best practices. Document client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary for optimal outcomes. Promote a positive and encouraging atmosphere for recovery and rehabilitation. Cognitive Demands Supervision of multiple students at once Establishing routines and procedures Maintaining a safe and orderly environment Create and implement instructional plans Participate in continuous professional development Effective oral and written communication skills Physical Demands Occasionally lift/move objects weighing up to 25 lbs Stand and walk frequently Occasionally sit on the floor or bend down/squat Withstand all demands presented by outside weather conditions at any time of the year Withstand a moderate noise level Be able to perform first aid/CPR if necessary Assist/lift students, as necessary Qualifications Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist. Proven experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a similar setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Empathy and a strong dedication to client care and wellbeing.
