Senior Architect Hybrid 4 days in Office 1 WFH Day in Englewood, CO Our client seeks a senior architect to design command and control plane applications that activate and manage CPEs across DOCSIS and Fiber networks. The role requires expertise in DHCP, TFTP, TR-069/TR-369, and integration with CMTS/OLT systems. The architect will define APIs, workflow orchestration, and operational dashboards while ensuring robust provisioning, configuration delivery, firmware management, and lifecycle operations for large-scale environments. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis. W2 Responsibilities: Design command and control plane software for DOCSIS and Fiber systems, including DHCP provisioning, TFTP configuration delivery, TR-069/TR-369 device management, and firmware upgrade orchestration. Integrate control plane services with DOCSIS systems including CMTS/OLT and cable modem configurations for DOCSIS/DPoE. Develop APIs and interfaces for control plane systems and operational dashboards, including RESTful APIs and SOAP-based interfaces. Design and develop API layers to front-end DHCP, datastore, and TFTP applications across multiple footprints for unified access and management. Design and implement workflow orchestration for device activation and management using BPMN or similar workflow engines. Troubleshoot and debug control plane software issues across DHCP, TFTP, and TR-069 workflows. Resolve defects and optimize performance. Collaborate with network operations, engineering, and product management to ensure control plane systems meet business requirements. Experience Requirements: 8+ years of software development experience with 5+ years in network management or device provisioning systems. Proficiency in Java, Python, Rust, or C/C++. 3+ years with DOCSIS technology, including CMTS and cable modem configurations. Deep knowledge of DHCP, TFTP, SNMP, and TR-069/TR-369 (CWMP/USP). Hands-on experience with DHCP/TFTP applications preferred. Strong understanding of IPv6 addressing, DHCPv6, and dual-stack implementations in cable networks. Proficiency in API design and development for REST and SOAP, including multi-footprint API layers. Experience with workflow orchestration and BPMN or similar engines. Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies. Proven experience with CPE provisioning, activation, and firmware management systems.
