Sandy Park Development Center provides support for persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities by enhancing their quality of life. We do this through community involvement and participation as well as enrichment opportunities throughout their life. As a member of our staff, you will be a part of one of these living centers and provide vital around the clock care, which includes nursing and medical oversight, to our residents. Facility Name and Address Sandy Park Development Center North Fort Myers - 33917 Purpose This position directly supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position helps with everyday tasks such as ADL's. These include daily grooming, meal service, risk mitigation and following any applicable behavioral management plans as defined by the resident individual needs. Actively engages with individuals at all times and provides all necessary supports to meet their needs, including all direct care and service requirements. Follows Active Treatment/Programming schedule. Identifies hazards or dangerous behaviors in the environment and takes immediate action to avoid, mitigate or eliminate, and report hazardous conditions or unsafe behaviors. Ensures the safety of self, residents/consumers, co-workers, families, guardians and visitors at all times. Implements electronic and paper documentation of training needs including programming, incident reporting, data collection and behavior observations. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent education is required. Valid driver license is required. Must be 18 years of age or older.
