Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dietary Cook to join our culinary team. As a Dietary Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our patients, residents, and staff. Your attention to detail, creativity, and ability to work efficiently will help us deliver an exceptional culinary experience.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold meals, including special dietary needs and cultural requirements
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
Collaborate with the dietary team to plan and implement menu cycles, ensuring nutritional balance and patient satisfaction
Manage inventory and ordering of food, supplies, and equipment
Develop and implement new recipes and menu items, promoting a fresh and exciting dining experience
Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that patients, residents, and staff receive prompt and courteous service
Maintain accurate records, including food inventory, meal production, and customer feedback
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; formal culinary training or experience a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods, with frequent walking and kneeling
Food handling and sanitation certification (or willingness to obtain)
