Project Manager - Revenue Cycle Vendor Management

Role Description

The Project Manager – Revenue Cycle Vendor Management will have a unique opportunity to build a centralized vendor management program and governance model from the ground up. The role is responsible for leading and coordinating vendor-related initiatives across the revenue cycle focused on:

• Vendor performance optimization and quarterly business reviews
• Contract oversight
• Implementation of new vendor solutions
• Continuous improvement efforts to drive financial and operational outcomes

The position partners closely with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and executive leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree: Finance
• PMP - Project Management Professional - Project Management Institute
• Deep understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle, including patient access, billing, coding, claims management, and reimbursement processes
• Expertise in hospital patient accounting systems and familiarity with regulatory requirements and payer guidelines
• Demonstrated experience in leading complex projects within a healthcare environment
• Strong focus on improving financial performance and operational efficiency
• Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
• Ability to analyze data and identify trends
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Experience with Epic EHR and revenue cycle management (RCM) platforms is highly desirable

Requirements

• Lead vendor management initiatives across the revenue cycle, including onboarding, performance monitoring, and offboarding activities
• Serve as an escalation point between revenue cycle operations and third-party vendors
• Establish and monitor vendor performance metrics, SLAs, and KPIs to ensure contractual obligations are met
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization related to vendor services
• Support contract review, negotiation, and renewal activities in partnership with supply chain and legal teams
• Develop and maintain standardized processes, tools, and reporting for vendor oversight
• Manage project plans, timelines, risks, and deliverables for vendor-related initiatives
• Prepare executive-level summaries and presentations on vendor performance and strategic opportunities
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies
• Collaborate with IT and operations teams on integration, automation, and system optimization efforts involving vendors
