Head of Growth Reports to CEO · Seattle (This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days working out of our Seattle, WA headquarters.) About Crowd Cow Crowd Cow sources premium meat and seafood directly from farms and fishermen and ships it to subscribers who care where their food comes from. Our thesis is simple: quality and provenance should win — and we’ve built a real, profitable business around it. We’re a small, disciplined team, and we’re adding the growth DNA to supercharge acquisition. Why this role exists Your mission is to find where our people are hanging out—both online and out in the real world—and build real, viral momentum. There’s an entire world of meat enthusiasts who are tailor-made for our value proposition, who have never heard of Crowd Cow, simply because they’re gathering in spaces and communities we haven't shown up to yet. We’re hiring you to hunt down these spaces—whether that's a niche digital forum or an offline community—and prove we can win these customers. We have the thesis. You’re here to prove it works. You have strong instincts and a proven track record for locating where customers actually gather and earning their trust. You thrive on building customer momentum and product buzz. You hunt and farm new channels beyond traditional PPC. You stand up non-traditional channels and turn what works into a repeatable playbook. You think product-led. You sit at the Product and Growth overlap, and you shape how the value prop shows up in the product and UX. What You’ll Own You own new customer acquisition, and you start with organic — the best growth signal comes from earned channels before paid ones. You build there first, prove the thesis, and scale into paid. Organic and community growth — referral, community, influencer, partnerships, field, and whatever else you invent. The core of the job. New-channel experimentation — launch tests in days, not months; kill what doesn’t work; turn what does into a repeatable playbook. Paid media — scaled once organic validates (Google, Meta, Amazon Marketplace), with CAC and payback discipline. Acquisition economics — CAC, payback period, LTV. You’ll partner closely with our Content Marketing Manager (storytelling, lifecycle) and Marketing Manager (email/SMS, merchandising, product and segment depth), inside an AI-native culture where the team builds with AI daily.
