Maintenance ManagerThe salary range for this role is $150,000 to $165,000. Medical, vision, dental, life insurance available on your first date of employment!Nature and ScopeEnsure safety procedures are followed within the department and the plant. Ensures that the safety of employees, contractors and visitors is top priority.Member of the plant leadership team, involved in strategic planning, budgeting and plant direction and culture.Must be a successful Maintenance Manager proficient in PPM systems both in theory and in practice.Oversees the coordination of the inspection function, breakdown and corrective maintenance of all plant mechanical, electrical and infrastructural equipment.Oversees the planning of maintenance activities in a way that is compatible with the overall operation of the plant. Planning is both long term and short term (monthly or weekly activities).Set objectives, guidelines, and priorities for the department.Report actions and results for the department through monthly activity letter and annual reports.Provide input for each function of the department toward cost budgeting, cost forecasting and control of department expenditures.Participate in the preparation of the long-term plan, mainly in the setting of goals as well the identification and definition of projects necessary for staying in business and progressing.Maintain the staffing of department as per accepted guidelines and cope with plant demands using overtime, contractors, or other internal and external sources.Monitor performance of department employees (hourly and salaried) through formal and informal reviews.Ensure the competence of department employees (hourly and salaried) by initiating training, coaching, counseling, or discipline procedures to respond to items identified in the performance reviews.Promote the participation of department employees (hourly and salaried) through delegation of responsibilities, sharing of information on the plants and department's goals and constraints and recognition of individual performance.Coordinate all labor issues within the department in compliance with the Collective Agreement.Constantly look for new methods of operation for the department which will improve equipment reliability, maintain the expected life span of equipment, and reduce department costs.Develop procedures with suppliers to ensure equipment reliability, maximize their service, minimize the cost, and minimize the plant inventory.Specific AccountabilitiesSafe working conditions for department employees.Assist in maintaining compliance with any applicable safety or environmental regulations.Competence, motivation and development of department employees and promotion of communication and cooperation within and outside the departmentReliability and life expectancy of plant equipment.Respect of budget allowed for maintenance.Compliance of department's activities with Collective Agreement.Work with stores and purchasing personnel to develop spare parts inventory and stocking levels.Ensure that proper insurance, hold harmless and other documentation required for the protection of Central Plains Cement Company, is in place before any vendors are permitted access to Central Plains Cement property to begin work.Be on-call rotation for an entirety of week every 6–8-week period.Be able to present technical data to Senior Leadership Team.Keep maintenance shop clean by utilizing 5S methods.Participate in safety MSHA inspections.QualificationsMinimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering or related fieldMinimum 5 years maintenance experience in cement manufacturing or related industry.Understanding of complex mechanical and electrical technology and equipment.Understanding of ERP system/s for planning, budgeting, and forecasting.Understanding of reliability practices and programs for critical plant equipment.BenefitsMedicalTelemedicineHealth Advocate ServiceDental & OrthodonticsVisionFSA Medical & Dependent CarePaid Parental LeaveTuition ReimbursementEmployee Assistance ProgramWellness Incentive Bonus ProgramLife and AD&DShort-Term and Long-Term DisabilityPaid VacationPaid Holidays401(k)EEO StatementCentral Plains Cement Company provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.About The Salary RangesPlease note that the salary range mentioned in this job description should serve simply as a guide.
