Backed by an attorney-founded team, we're building the leading independent brand in the 1031 exchange space — and we're looking for a driven sales leader to help fuel our growth. The Role: We're hiring a Director of Sales and Business Development to lead our outside sales effort in the Newport Beach / Orange County market, developing referral relationships that drive 1031 exchange business. This is a hunter role for someone who thrives on relationship-building, understands real estate investors' needs, and knows how to turn a network into a pipeline — and a pipeline into closed business. You’ll own the full sales cycle: generating leads, cultivating referral relationships with commercial brokers, residential investment brokers, CPAs, attorneys, escrow officers, and wealth advisors, managing your pipeline, and closing exchange business. This role is commission-heavy by design — it's built for a self-starter who wants their income tied to their performance and results. What You'll Do: Develop and maintain referral relationships with commercial brokers, residential investment brokers, CPAs, attorneys, escrow officers, wealth advisors, and real estate investors Generate and develop new business through outside sales activity — networking, referral partnerships, industry events, and direct outreach Attend industry events and deliver 1031 exchange presentations to prospective referral partners and clients Own and maintain a CRM-based sales pipeline from first contact through close Coordinate with exchange officers to ensure smooth handoffs and client service Help clients understand the 45-day and 180-day exchange process and the value of working with Pacific1031 Collaborate with leadership on sales strategy, market positioning, and growth initiatives What We’re Looking For: Self-starter mentality — you don't need to be managed to perform Extensive outside sales experience , ideally in 1031 exchange, title, escrow, commercial real estate, CPA, legal, wealth management, or qualified intermediary work Comfortable calling on commercial brokers, residential investment brokers, CPAs, attorneys, escrow officers, wealth advisors, and real estate investors Proven ability to build and manage a sales pipeline (CRM experience preferred) and independently generate leads Strong understanding of 1031 exchanges and the real estate industry (required) Prior 1031 exchange experience strongly preferred Comfortable working in a commission-driven compensation structure with meaningful upside Compensation & Structure: Base salary: Although this role is meant to lean heavily on the generous commission structure at Securitas1031, for an experienced candidate, we will consider a starting base salary of ~$70,000 Generous Commission structure tied to closed business Total earning potential scales directly with production #J-18808-Ljbffr Pacific1031
