HIRING: Legal Assistant – Rochester (Hybrid)
I’m currently working with a leading law firm seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support multiple attorneys in a fast-paced labor and employment practice.
Rochester, NY
Hybrid – 35 Hour Work Week
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting multiple attorneys and coordinating day-to-day practice needs
- Managing calendars, deadlines and case-related activities
- Coordinating filings with courts and administrative agencies
- Handling electronic filing and ensuring compliance with applicable court rules
- Preparing and finalizing legal documents, correspondence and filings
- Creating and maintaining litigation matters and document files
- Preparing Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities
- Managing documents through legal document management systems
- Coordinating transcription, printing and document assembly
- Maintaining attorney and client contact information
- Assisting with billing and pre-bill review as needed
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of legal assistant/litigation support experience
- Strong knowledge of court rules and ECF procedures
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys and managing competing priorities
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate attorney needs
- Advanced experience with Best Authority, MS Office, Outlook and Adobe
- Experience with NetDocuments or similar document management systems
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and legal document preparation
Compensation & Benefits
The position offers $42–$48/hour , depending on experience and qualifications, along with eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
