Lead Electrical System Design & Analysis EngineerCompany:The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity and immediate need on the Advanced E-7 Program for a Lead Electrical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer in Tukwila, WA. As a member of the Advanced E-7 Electrical Power System Engineering team you will be working in a highly dynamic team environment developing electrical power design for both the aircraft primary power system - Electrical Power Generation System (EPGS) and the aircraft secondary power system - Secondary Power Distribution System (SPDS). This position requires working with suppliers to provide qualified hardware as well as working with the program wiring team to design the aircraft power system. This position will support lab test, aircraft build, flight test and operational support.The E-7 is the world’s most advanced, capable and reliable Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) platform, having proven itself in operations around the world.The aircraft is designed to track multiple airborne and maritime targets simultaneously. It can provide situational awareness and direct other assets such as fighter jets and warships.Position Responsibilities:Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements for EPGS and SPDS components and softwareLeads and coordinates work to analyzes and translates requirements into system architecture, hardware designs and interface specificationsLeads work to test and validates that system designs meet operational and functional requirementsOversees the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements in the development and production of EPGS and SPDS components and softwareSolves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycleTroubleshoots Advanced E-7 EPGS and SPDS. Authors and updates Specification Control Drawings (SCDs), Interface Design Descriptions (IDDs), and Interface Control Documents (ICDs)Compiles and reviews certification documents to demonstrate compliance with relevant electrical systems related to FAA airworthiness requirements including; Electrical load analysis (ELA) documents Develops and maintains relationships with teammates, peers, and supplier counterpartsDesigns and drafts Functional Schematics of the power systemDevelops and maintains relationships with teammates, peers, and supplier counterpartsReports progress and elevates issues to manager as requiredSupport FAA Certification activities as required.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Tukwila, WA.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement9+ years of experience in Electrical engineering Experience compiling ELA, ICD, and System Definition Document (SDD) Experience with Functional Schematic Drafting & Design.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience with aircraft electrical systems designExperience with aircraft power systems. Experience with troubleshooting aircraft electrical systemsStrong organization and communication skills Experience with Microsoft Office productsExperience with FAA certification procedures for Part 25 regulations.
