Warehouse Manager

Purpose of Job The Manager, Warehouse is responsible for all inventory movement in Distributorship’s warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks, supervising 2-3 Warehouse Workers, ordering and handling bi products and Econos, and processing cores. Job Responsibilities Perform all warehouse jobs: Receiving, Putaways, Picking, Replenishments, Packing, Palletizing, and Shipping Directs. Engage team in continuous process improvement. Implement applicable standard operating procedures and ensure performance standards are met/exceeded. Manage inventory quality, accuracy, and asset protection. Develop stock location and order picking strategies to optimize workflow, space utilization, and labor productivity. Ensure warehouse processes are conducted safely and comply with law and applicable standards. Process inbound receiving of containers or full truck, truck pallet shipments, and small parcel shipments. Prepare and distribute operational reports. Operate forklift and train Warehouse Workers in safe and efficient use. Follow/fulfill all driver program requirements as specified by the manager. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of warehouse management experience including inventory control procedures and inventory/accounting relationships. 3 years of general warehouse operations experience. Superior leadership, management, motivation, and teamwork skills. Strong written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills. Strong organization and time‑management skills and ability to work under pressure. Working knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing, and distribution methods. Understanding of state, federal, and interstate commerce regulations. Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn required systems. Strong training and coaching skills. Knowledge of hazardous shipping laws and requirements. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and/or forklift. Clean driver’s record and meet driver qualifications requirements. Scope Manages two or more team members. Operates with integrity and demonstrates a positive attitude. Work Environment / Physical Requirements Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk. Required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs without assistance and occasionally up to 75 lbs. Exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Exposed to hazards of the road when operating or riding in a vehicle. Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.
