In this leadership role, you'll oversee a sizable team while staying involved in complex accounting, troubleshooting, reporting, and cross-functional projects.This team works closely with finance, tax, regulatory, engineering, and project management groups, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both people leadership and the technical side of accounting.Location: Fully onsite in Portland (some flexibility in scheduling)Parking or TriMet pass providedCompensation: $115,000-$160,000 + bonusBenefits:10% total company retirement contribution (4% fixed + 100% match on first 6%)144 hours PTO to start + 12 holidaysGenerous M/D/V package with multiple medical, dental, and vision optionsHSA availableAdditional insurance and pet insurance optionsParental and Bereavement leaveJob Focus:Lead and develop a team of 10-12 accounting professionals - Coach, develop, and evaluate team membersOversee fixed asset accounting, capital project accounting, and fixed asset reportingReview journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentationTroubleshoot complex fixed asset and capitalization issues across the organizationPartner with project managers, engineers, finance, tax, regulatory, and other accounting teamsSupport SEC and state regulatory reportingProvide accounting analysis related to capitalization, depreciation, asset retirement obligations, and other fixed asset mattersManage month-end close activities and reporting deadlinesCoach, develop, and evaluate team membersYou:Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field required, CPA appreciated3+ years of supervisory or management experience, including developing a team with varying levels of experienceStrong general ledger and GAAP foundationStrong understanding of internal controls and financial reportingAbility to troubleshoot complex accounting issues and work effectively across departmentsUtility accounting experience highly preferred or someone with Big-4/Large Regional accounting firm experience with exposure to a variety of clientsIf you're looking for a true leadership opportunity where you can develop a team while remaining hands-on with complex accounting and fixed asset matters, this could be a great fit.
