\nWe are seeking a Steam and Electric Plant Engineering Technician to support the A4W Aircraft Carrier Overhaul Program. In this role, you will apply Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) and Tag-out User's Manual (TUM) requirements to system maintenance and testing throughout a depot-level maintenance period within the E84 SEP Test Engineering Department for a nuclear-powered vessel.\n

What You Will Do \n
\n
\n

\n
• Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
\n
• Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).
\n
• Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data.
\n
• Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports.
\n
• May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
\n

What You Must Have \n
\n
\n

\n
• Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 1 year of related experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years related (DoD/USN) experience.
\n
• Candidate must have experience with Navy Work Authorization Forms (WAF's) and tag-outs using the electronic Shift Operating Management System (eSOMS) or E-Tagout.
\n
• Candidate must have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and test procedures.
\n
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
\n
• Candidate must be a US citizen.
\n

\nJob performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the job. A waterfront office work environment is normally encountered.\n
