The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing the organization's mission to create a balanced food system that is healthy, sustainable, and secure for all. This includes driving positive change in the food system to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve health outcomes, and protect vital habitats. The Board Member will be responsible for engaging with funders, corporate partners, and global stakeholders, leveraging their networks to support the organization's strategic goals. They will also provide guidance on positioning and visibility, and offer strategic fundraising oversight, particularly in the areas of climate, sustainability, and health. Applicants for this role should be senior executives with a strong network of potential funders and partners, particularly within the relevant sectors. A proven track record in supporting major funding commitments, experience in organizational positioning, and insight into global funding trends are essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the values of the organization, including strategic, impact-focused, collaborative, and empathic approaches. High ethical standards, integrity, and a collaborative spirit are also key attributes.
