Job Summary:

Develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate processes to meet the educational, development and competency need of nursing and nursing support staff through effective use of a variety of learning activities. Align activities with programs and processes the standardized functions for Nursing Professional Development.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of three years current applicable clinical experience in a health care setting required. Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required. Demonstrated ability to plan development activities that impact positive outcomes and performance. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to instruct and collaborate with others required. Ability to solve complex problems through a well-ordered approach required. Knowledge of systems and change theory, individual, and group behaviors, teaching and learning principles, and research outcomes required. Ability to balance and prioritize diverse clinical and leadership responsibilities required. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. Based on position, one or more of the following courses including STABLE, smoking cessation counseling, basic critical care or other specialty training courses is preferred Certification and ANPD or clinical specialty preferred.
