Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacist position is available for a licensed professional to oversee the comprehensive operations of an oral dispensing pharmacy. This role ensures the accurate and efficient processing, dispensing, and management of medications while maintaining compliance with all relevant laws and standards. The pharmacist plays a vital role in patient care through counseling and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:

• Fill and dispense prescriptions accurately and timely
• Verify and process medications, ensuring quality and safety
• Generate and review pharmacy reports to monitor operations
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations, including inventory management and quality assurance
• Coordinate benefits investigations, prior authorizations, and financial assistance programs
• Ensure adherence to pharmacy laws, accreditation standards, policies, and procedures

Qualifications:

• Active, clear Illinois Pharmacist License
• Experience in a mid-level or oral dispensing pharmacy setting
• Strong expertise in pharmacy operations and medication dispensing
• Ability to work independently and effectively supervise support staff
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with prescribers, payers, patients, and pharmacy staff
