Specialist Cte Program Support Pay Grade: PRF 4 Duty Days: 226 Date Revised: 08/13/2026 HC Funding This Position Is Locally Funded. Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required. A Master's Degree or a minimum of 12 credit hours toward a Master's Degree in Educational Administration, Curriculum and Instruction or equivalent is preferred. A valid Texas Educators Certificate with endorsement in any area of Career and Technical Education (Cte) is preferred. Five (5) years of successful Cte classroom teaching experience is preferred. A valid Texas driver's license is required. Skill Requirements: This position requires the ability to apply knowledge of current education and instructional theories, methodologies, techniques, and principles. Incumbents must be able to interpret national, state and district standards. Incumbents must have the ability to analyze detailed information, coordinate projects and programs, work with others in a team environment, organize and maintain records, manage time and resources effectively and efficiently and provide constructive feedback. Incumbents must have the ability to use technology proficiently, preferably with cross-platform experience. This position requires effective communication/presentation skills, and skilled use of Microsoft Office; knowledge of database software, and web development considered a plus. Work requires creativity and adaptive thinking to match program objectives. Judgment is required to interpret broad State, Local and Federal laws, regulations, and policies affecting the lives and education of children, as well as how to use a wide variety of data to drive decision-making. Job Purpose And Responsibility This position is responsible for providing support in researching, analyzing, and reporting a wide variety of student and school performance data; including but not limited to the Austin Isd benchmarks and state assessments, to Austin Isd and campus leaders and instructional staff in order to inform instructional planning and the targeting of assistance for schools, teachers, and students. Incumbent is also involved in program planning, implementation, and training. Incumbent will work with the department Director to ensure and support data-driven planning at both district and campus levels. Essential Functions Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and district policies, rules, and regulations. Help Cte teachers modify instruction to meet student needs more effectively. Support Cte teachers and campuses implementing new and innovative programs. Encourage Cte teacher participation in workshops and conferences. Assist in the development and implementation of curriculum for various Career and Technology Education (Cte) courses including instructional strategies, curriculum standards, and assessment. Provides technical assistance to schools in relation to developing and/or revising career pathways program of study and facilities. Job Description Work with Cte teachers department chairs and campus administrators to identify and address needs of Cte teachers. Analyze program offerings and staffing for Cte. Assist in curriculum development and alignment, teacher, and counselor professional development activities, needs assessments, and program evaluations. Assist Cte teachers in implementation of professional development activities, as well as assisting first-year teachers with mentoring and support. Determine when out-of-district training is necessary. Research best practice related to specialized areas and secure professional learning. Disseminate information on current trends and research in Cte. Provides technical assistance and training for compliance with local, state, and federal policy. Design, implement, facilitate, and evaluate training workshops and assist with the facilitation of in-District training. Support internal and/or external evaluators with acquisition and analysis of campus and District data. Attend professional learnings and/or meetings to enhance knowledge of curriculum or program issues. Assist with (Wbl) work-based learning opportunities for Cte students. Identify potential consultants, speakers, and presenters for in-district professional learnings. Provide an exceptional customer experience for all Aisd stakeholders with intentional and professional practices that promote a culture of respect.
