Job Title: Lawn Fertilization Technician

Location: United States - North Carolina - Triangle Area

Area of Interest: Lawn Care Services

Position Type: Full Time

Pay: $18-21/hr

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid driver's license required. Candidates must have a clean driving record and have at minimum (5) years of licensed driving experience.

• High school diploma or GED

• At least 21 years of age

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Certification or licensing for handling pesticides and herbicides is a plus.

• Must pass a pre-employment D.O.T. drug screen, background check and a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.

What You'll Do:

• Apply liquid fertilizer and pesticide treatments, evaluate turf health, identify lawn issues, and provide lawn care services that promote healthy, attractive residential landscapes.

• Lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

• Understand safety procedures and regulations.

• Gain knowledge of plant identification, weed identification, insects, disease, fertilization, diagnostic techniques, and application techniques.

• Aerates lawns and properly trained on seeding applications

• Report the need of repairs of trucks and equipment to manager

• Keep the work area neat and orderly. Must leave a customer’s property the way it was found or in better condition.

• Communicate professionally and accurately with internal and external customers. both verbally and in writing.

• Attends and participates in all safety and training meetings.

• Helps enforce on-the-job safety practices.

• Performs other related work as assigned.

• Safely handle, mix, and apply pesticides and fertilizers while complying with all federal, state, and company safety standards.

• Apply lawn fertilizers, weed control products, and other treatments safely and effectively

• Deliver friendly, professional customer service

• Identify customer needs and recommend additional services

• Use mobile software to document work, record notes, and communicate with customers

• Work closely with teammates to ensure exceptional results and customer satisfaction

• Utilize a company vehicle to efficiently complete daily service routes and customer appointments.
