Details Hospital-based Emergency Department setting High-risk department designation 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week (7:00 PM-7:30 AM) Every other weekend required Holiday coverage on a rotating basis On-call responsibilities include 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period, with expectation to be onsite within one hour No block scheduling available No floating requirements Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted) Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience ASN required, BSN preferred Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA) Level 1 Trauma experience required Epic charting experience required Additional Information Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process across the emergency department scope of service Performs patient assessments, develops and modifies individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families Maintains accurate, up-to-date documentation to support continuity of care Reports and corrects safety hazards to protect patient and staff well-being Collaborates with the healthcare team and offers constructive feedback to support professional development RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than one year at this health system without either converting to permanent staff or taking a 6-month break in service American Traveler Job ID P-742462.
