CNC Machinist

Job Full Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join a well-known, long-standing company in Butte. This position involves the manufacturing of complex electro-mechanical equipment, mechanical/electrical assembly, and high-precision fabrication shop welding of vessels and various structures.


Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble complex electro-mechanical equipment.
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly tasks.
• Weld and fabricate high-precision vessels and structural components.
• Interpret and follow engineered drawings and specifications.
• Maintain tight tolerances and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficient in manual machining equipment including lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, etc.
• Familiarity with both mill and lathe operations.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances ( ±0.001 in).
• Skilled in copying or slightly modifying sample parts.
• Strong communication and comprehension skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CNC mill programming and operation.
• Familiarity with GibbsCAM or similar CNC programming software.
