Direct Support Professional - Sign on Bonus! Paid Training! Schedule: Weds 3p-11p, Thur 2p-11p, Fri 3p-11p, Sat 8a-11p. Full‑time: 40 hours. Pay rate: $19.50 - 21.00. Paid Training Provided by Venture. Sign on Bonus: $1000 for Full Time Employees, $500 for Part Time Employees. Responsibilities The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for advocating and supporting adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities by empowering them to be as active in their lives as they can. The DSP acts as a caregiver for the individual within the group home. Support tasks include household maintenance within the group home, meal preparation, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, and more so that they may always look and feel their best. The DSP may also assist with medical appointments, banking, community participation, outings, medication administration, following Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans, goals, and medical guidelines. DSP workers receive paid New Employee Orientation, paid CPR/First Aid, PABC, Defensive Driving, and Medication Administration Program (MAP), as well as program and person specific training at the individuals’ home. The DSP must be able to safely evacuate individuals from the home in the event of an emergency. DSP workers must maintain certifications, handle job related duties in compliance with Agency policies, and follow all DDS regulations/policies. Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team. Requirements High School Degree or G.E.D.
