Vehicle Operator

Description $2000 Sign-On Bonus Available for full time positions! $1500 Sign-On Bonus Available for part-time positions! Provides transportation for adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Vehicle Operator ensures the safety of the vehicle for operations, assists ambulatory and wheelchair-bound individuals in entering and exiting the vehicle, and ensures individuals are properly seated and secured, providing assistance when required. The Vehicle Operator is responsible for regulating heat, lighting, radio, and the ventilation system for the comfort of vehicle passengers. The Vehicle Operator is responsible for maintaining daily transportation logs and written reports; as well as ensuring that the vehicle interior and exterior is clean. Requirements Minimum Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Three years of driving experience required.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is beneficial.
- Requires a clean Class B or Class C Driver's License. Candidates who meet DOT and 19A requirements are preferred.
- CDL with Passenger (P) endorsement preferred. Training may be provided to obtain CDL within six months of hire.
- Must obtain and maintain valid CPR and First Aid certification.
