Controls Technician - Direct Hire

Controls Technician Direct Hire 1st shift: 7am-3:30pm Pay: $35-$40 per hour, depends on experience/interview. Responsibilities Perform electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics to maintain production line efficiency. Navigate PLCs for system diagnostics without programming. Conduct equipment maintenance and facility support. Provide technical leadership within the maintenance team. Develop junior technicians and enhance team capabilities. Ensure proper documentation and adherence to system design standards. Essential Skills Strong electrical troubleshooting experience in an industrial environment. Ability to work on 480 volt systems. Experience with VFDs, instrumentation, and motor control circuits. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics. Understanding of safety circuits and basic troubleshooting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Preferred education in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology, Mechatronics, or Automation/Controls Technology. Completion of a state‑recognized electrical apprenticeship or military electrical/technical training. 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or electrical roles. Experience with Allen‑Bradley hardware for online diagnostics. Familiarity with NFPA 70E and industrial electrical safety practices. Job Type & Location Permanent position based out of Columbus, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70,720.00 - $83,200.00 per year. Benefits include: Three medical plans to choose from.
