Worship Pastor

The role of the worship pastor is to oversee and coordinate the worship and creative ministries at Southpointe Church. This position takes on the responsibility of guarding the spiritual culture and character of both ministries and their teams. Leadership Qualifications Vision Casting - Ability to vision cast and lead a team of volunteers in all worship and creative arts ministries. a clear and compelling vision. The Big Picture is a concept you easily grasp, communicate and lead a team to accomplish. Leadership Development - coaching, managing and developing leaders. Communication - A leader is someone who inspires positive, incremental change by empowering those around them to work toward common objectives. A leader’s most powerful tool for doing so is communication. Must be proactive. You possess the ability to see the problems, find solutions and solve the problems. You have the ability to successfully develop and implement ministry from start to finish. Strong Interpersonal and communication skills. Able to think, plan, and act strategically. Has a passion to help people grow spiritually and personally. Worship Oversee all aspects of worship ministry. Proficiency in Vocal Performance. Ability to play an instrument and lead a band. Recruit and lead team of volunteers. Vision cast for worship ministry and stay up to date with all the current worship trends and implementation of those trends. Act as service coordinator for Sunday morning services. Coordinate worship and creative elements for special events such as holidays, sermon series and any special services. Production Oversee all aspects of Production booth and online video ministry. Recruiting, training & scheduling volunteers. Ministerial Issues Participate in Staff Retreats, conferences, etc. Participate in all church events as needed such as fall festival, easter egg hunt, pointe group launches, etc. Attend all weekly services. Lead a small group. Pastoral Care as needed. Perform weddings, funerals, baptisms, communion, etc. as needed. Any other duties deemed necessary for the ministry of Southpointe Church. #J-18808-Ljbffr
