Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Technician to support manufacturing operations by assembling, testing, inspecting, and preparing industrial products for shipment. This individual will work with production equipment, hand tools, and precision components to ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, and committed to safety, accuracy, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble industrial instruments, components, and mechanical assemblies according to work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
• Operate production equipment and utilize hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments as required.
• Perform functional testing and quality inspections to verify product accuracy and performance.
• Identify defective components, assembly issues, or product inconsistencies and report findings to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate production records, inspection documentation, and work orders.
• Follow established safety procedures, quality standards, and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve efficiency.
• Meet established production schedules while maintaining a high level of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Assist with inventory management, material handling, and other production-related activities as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, production, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with small components and precision instruments.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions, technical drawings, and assembly procedures.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to complete production documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, and move throughout the production area for extended periods, depending on the workstation.
• Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks and use hand tools.
• Ability to lift and move materials within established company guidelines.
• Ability to handle small components and perform detailed visual inspections.
