Job Summary:

Provide specialized critical care nursing to patients in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through advanced clinical skills and compassionate care.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess and monitor critically ill cardiac patients, responding promptly to changes in clinical status.
  
  
• 
  Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with hospital protocols.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatments, and recovery expectations.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to all compliance, safety, and infection control standards, including required certifications and licenses.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Current Ohio or Compact State registered nursing license in hand at submission.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 12 months permanent experience in CVICU or critical care setting.
  
  
• 
  Active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition through assessment.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work variable shift rotations, including nights and holidays.
  
  
• 
  Successful completion of orientation assessments with passing scores.
