Quality Engineer

Job Title: Quality Engineer Responsibilities Provide Process/Quality Engineering support to manufacturing to ensure delivery of highest quality product to the customer. Provide Process/Quality Engineering support to product development teams to ensure development of highest quality new products. Identify and control manufacturing process defects (scrap, nonconforming material, customer complaints) by leading efforts to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions. Query and analyze data to support implementation of complex release criteria. Develop product quality plans, documents and systems, including product specifications, quality specifications and quality plans in collaboration with product development team members. Create risk analyses and FMEAs. Develop Process Monitoring Systems by identifying critical process steps and applying methods to reduce process variation. Lead process improvement efforts by capturing quality metric data and performing analysis to enhance sustaining product design and new product development. Assist in creation of quality tools and training materials, identifying more effective tools and materials. Build an internal network and develop an external network of resources to facilitate task completion. Lead moderate‑scope project teams to drive quality improvements or address quality concerns, providing guidance to less experienced staff and mentoring lower‑level contributors. Plan, organize, and prioritize own daily work to meet established schedules, exercising authority and judgment within defined limits. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Minimum 2 years of related work experience with a strong understanding of Quality Engineering, including technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices and procedures. General understanding of business unit/group function and ability to work in a quality system environment. Ability to analyze problems of moderate scope, review data and identify actionable solutions. Broad knowledge of technical alternatives and their impact on the systems environment. Ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading or being part of moderate to large project teams. Familiarity with project management principles and demonstrated knowledge. Experience in a regulated medical industry (pharmaceutical, medical device, etc.) and understanding of ISO13485 requirements. Experience resolving nonconformances through CAPA or other means, with a solid grasp of problem‑solving tools and their applications. Technical background and aptitude in process monitoring, manufacturing improvements, and basic product design. Prior Quality Engineering experience and proficiency with key quality documentation such as FMEAs, RAM, CAPA, and quality specifications.
