RN Flex Pool

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the Flex Pool Night position provides skilled nursing care across various medical and surgical units, including Medical, Laulima (surgical acute), and Cardiovascular units. This role involves patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. The nurse must be adaptable to floating between units, maintain professional standards, and ensure quality patient care during 12-hour night shifts. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Hawaii by start of assignment.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably 2-10 years.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, variable environment.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Procedural Sedation certification.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).

Special Considerations:

• Required to float between multiple units including Medical, Laulima (surgical acute), and Cardiovascular units.
• Nurse-to-patient ratios vary: Medical unit 1:8 nights, Laulima 1:6, Cardiovascular 1:4.
• Must comply with professional nursing attire standards (clean scrubs).
• Medical and religious exemption requests for immunity proof are not accepted; documented proof of immunity required.

Scheduling:

• 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.
• Scheduled 36 hours per week following initial orientation week.
• No guaranteed hours; shift assignments based on unit needs.
• Orientation provided for each assigned unit.
