Staff Accountant

Job PostingKey Responsibilities:Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and reporting packages, for internal and external parties, ensuring full compliance with U.S. GAAP.Prepare full-cycle journal entries, bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and consolidation entries (including inter-entity eliminations).Maintain accurate schedules for key account balances, such as depreciation and amortization schedules, profit and loss allocations, and various accounting details.Execute processes for the monthly close cycle to comply with company financial close calendar while ensuring high-quality work products, free of errors or significant reworkReview and reconcile intercompany/cross-entity charges including fees, reimbursement allocations, shared services.Ensure all associated transactions/coding, daily cash receipts, and miscellaneous bank activity are recorded accurately and timely.Assist in the administration of the company's expense management system and assist in refining accounting team's process and procedures for accurate recording of company expensesBe able to backfill and assist with positive pay for corporate entities as well as revenue billingsCreate wires, transfers and standard ACH postingComplete or review ad hoc projects as neededEducation:Bachelor's Degree - Accounting requiredCPA - preferredWork Experience:2+ years of real estate industry experience or corporate accounting experienceSkills:Strong understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesReal estate accounting, corporate accounting, or public accounting experience preferredExperience with Yardi preferredExperience with FloQast preferredIntermediate–advanced Excel skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a mustStrong planning and organizational skills requiredBenefits:Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000 / yearEligible for discretionary benefits: performance bonusEligible for standard employee benefit elections: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, FSA, HSA, Commuter Benefits, Employee Assistance Program, Life Insurance (employee and dependents), Short-term disability (STD), Long-term disability (LTD), Accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D), vacation days, sick days, and other benefitsTravel: this position will not require travelDisclaimer:To All Recruitment Agencies – NexCore Group does not accept unsolicited third-party resumes.
