About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President, Credit Officer to join its North America team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading in-depth credit analysis of corporate, structured, and project finance transactions, with a particular focus on complex infrastructure and project finance deals. This role requires the preparation of comprehensive credit opinions and recommendations, evaluation of borrower financials, collateral structures, and industry trends to ensure sound credit decisions. The Vice President, Credit Officer will also be involved in structuring loan terms, risk mitigation strategies, and will be expected to mentor junior staff. Key responsibilities for the Vice President, Credit Officer include reviewing and assigning borrower credit ratings, monitoring portfolio exposures, and participating in internal credit discussions. The role demands a professional who can work closely with senior stakeholders, maintain strict adherence to risk policies, and contribute to departmental risk management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, deal structuring, and strategic advisory, and will be adept at overseeing contract documentation to ensure compliance with all requirements. A dynamic environment is anticipated, where the ability to identify early warning signals and escalate deteriorating credit situations is crucial.
