About the Position

Job Title: Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating 8-hour shifts Hours per Shift: 0645-1515; 0900-1730; 1500-2330; 0700-1930 (weekend only) Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS, CST or NCCT, ND UAP Must-Have: Must be proficient in either Orthopedic/Neurosurgical OR General/Robotics. Experience with open belly surgeries, General DaVinci Xi, Endoscopic, and GYN procedures. Description: This position operates in a fast-paced operating room environment. The department encompasses a variety of cases including pediatrics, geriatrics, cystoscopy, and robotic surgeries. Common cases include orthopedic and neurosurgical total joint procedures, sports medicine, arthroscopies, and spinal fusions. Candidates must have experience working with DaVinci Xi, ION robots, and Stryker towers. There is a charge nurse present on all shifts. The schedule is made by the clinical supervisor and requires rotating shifts. Weeknight call requirements are 1-2 times per week from 1515-0645. Weekend call requirements are based on staffing, typically every 3-4 weekends. Candidates must be available to work holidays and have a call response time of 15 minutes. Floating to other specialties may be required for cross-training. Supplemental hours may be available through 1:1 sitting roles. A family atmosphere is emphasized within the department.
